Client Brief

Entry for the Kravet Design Challenge, Spring 2020.
Paired with a team of two other students (Saumya Patel, Fibers, and Xinyan Hou, Furniture Design), we were tasked with creating a collaborative interior collection in only 48 hours. Together, we conceptualized a joy-filled space that takes inspiration from heirloom designs. The COVID-19 pandemic shifted the ways in which we interact with our homes, bringing with it a want to personalize our living spaces. Being confined to our homes brought a revolution of cozyness to our living spaces.

Examining motif/material/color trends, I focused on traditional textiles to form the basis of my inspiration. Looking at textiles from Morocco, India, and the Middle East, these motifs were translated into 3 distinct prints.
